Mission Statement
2nd Chance Dog Foundation is dedicated to keeping dogs out of shelters by helping residents in the unincorporated areas of the Antelope Valley with unexpected vet costs. We focus on supporting at-risk breeds like Huskies, German Shepherds, and Pit Bulls, while also educating the community on pet wellness, including spay and neuter, behavior, and microchipping. Our goal is to keep pets healthy, safe, and home where they belong.
Vision Statement
Our vision at 2nd Chance Dog Foundation is a community where no dog is surrendered due to financial hardship, and every pet receives the care, respect, and love they deserve. We strive for a future where education, access to resources, and community support empower families to keep their pets healthy and at home—especially those in underserved areas of the Antelope Valley.
Driven by compassion and a deep commitment to her community, our founder has dedicated her life to supporting underserved families and their pets in the Antelope Valley. With years of experience in community outreach and social advocacy, she has worked closely with local families facing housing instability, financial hardship, and lack of access to basic resources.
Her unique skill set — rooted in both hands-on service and strategic partnership building — allowed her to see the powerful connection between people and their pets, especially in times of crisis. Recognizing a critical gap in support for families who couldn’t afford emergency vet care, food, or basic pet supplies, she knew it was time to act.
Founding 2nd Chance Dog Foundation wasn’t just a next step — it was her calling. This became her ultimate chance to make a meaningful, lasting impact: by combining her professional experience with her personal passion, she created a space where no family has to choose between caring for their pet and meeting their own basic needs.
Through advocacy, community partnerships, and direct support, she continues to lead with heart — giving pets and their people a second chance, together.
